I was skeptical I would personally get much value out of it, but now that I’ve started writing in it, I have a feeling I won’t be going back to what I used before.

I tried it out yesterday. The interface is nice, and I found a few tools that that will reduce at least five of my editing passes down to a single pass. Good work.

The dialogue is excellent. It’s real life, they step on each other as people do. It’s intriguing. It’s drives both the plot and the characters. Bravo! You’re a very good writer. Punctuation may be off in places. Have you tried Matt Falcon’s @GetFalcontext ? I find it very helpful for punctuation and other basic issues I miss.

Decided to start my next writing project in Perch. Works great in the browser, but I was worried about being able to use it effectively on mobile. But it also works great there. I already made a shortcut on my home screen. @GetFalcontext

2nd #book with this #protagonist & I am still spelling Rourke’s name wrong at least once a chapter. #WritingCommunity do you ever do that? Or am I just special. [Ok don’t answer that bit] But now I have #Falcontext by @realmattfalcon reminding me how stupid i am 🤦🤣

Happy to second this. I’m writing my next two HH novellas on it (concurrently, I might add). Not gonna lie, a lot of the tracking and analysis stuff is wasted on a grunt like me, but it’s the smoothest and best-looking word processor I’ve used to date.
HM Read: Writing with @GetFalcontext is a much richer experience for me, and it backs up perfectly to Google docs.

It has become routine now that @GetFalcontext gets opened with my regular writing documents. I switched the look to better match my personal preference. Love that you can do that!

Hire if you can - but if you have 0 budget, try @realmattfalcon’s product Falcontext - no ai. Cost minimal. Has an edit mode. Does a decent job I recon so far for me

The nice thing about Falcontext for me is that I don’t even have to think about the monitoring of word count. I’m not generally strict with keeping count, but with this app, I can write as usual, but it’s nice to look back and see that progress. Best of both worlds! 😉
Ren Stinnett: I don’t monitor how many words I write during a writing session. Establishing daily/weekly word count goals seems horribly sterile.
What happened to writing as an artist, or simply writing for enjoyment? When you paint, do you count brush strokes?

I didn’t stike a thing, cracking result. Falcontext is an absolute must for any writer. Don’t even think about it. Review to come. @realmattfalcon

I’ve been using @GetFalcontext for a few weeks now, and I have found it really helpful. It’s been so helpful to have things such as my crutch words pointed out. Hate to give props to @realmattfalcon, but it is pretty good.

Want a writing app that doesn’t balls up the quotation after an em dash? Take a look at @realmattfalcon’s splendid side project, which he assures me isn’t his way of procrastinating on his own WIP 🤘🏼❤️

It’s a non-Ai proofreader app. So far, so good. It’s caught a few punctuation issues, and two cap letter issues. I just need a final looksee before pub. @realmattfalcon created it. I’m liking what I see! I still need to understand it. I’m so linear in my autism that it takes me a while to find uses.

Only just started using this, and it is awesome! Going to make revising book 2 a lot easier!
Matt Falcon: This is a biiiiig update! Everything is way more robust, the UX has improved tenfold and the new features are SICK!
Always had trouble keeping track of your editing? Not anymore.
And that’s faaaaar from the only feature you’ll love. Go check it out!

Reviews of the browser extension, written in the Chrome Web Store and copied here word for word. Read them in the store.
Falcontext is a thoroughly well-made and genuinely useful writing tracker, and arguably the best tool of its kind out there. It works brilliantly with Google Docs, Atticus and Ellipsus through a browser extension, and with Scrivener and Word through the desktop app. There’s also Perch, a web app for your phone or tablet, and your progress can sync between them via your own Google Drive. It keeps track of your word count, goals and streaks, maps your chapters and characters, and checks your prose for things like tense slips, dialogue tags, clichés and much more. Importantly, there’s no AI garbage whatsoever. Everything runs on your own device, nothing rewrites your sentences for you, and your work is never stored or used to train anyone’s AI. The words stay private and entirely yours. There’s a free version with no time limit, and the Pro subscription is very fairly priced. If you’re serious about finishing your book and making it the best it can be, Falcontext is an absolute must. Highly recommended.
