Help › Pro and your license key

Pro, Ad-Free and your license keyYour key, and what it unlocks.

Free has no time limit and no ads. Pro adds the full toolset. Here’s where your license key is, how to switch it on, and how to cancel.

Add to Chrome – it's free

The plans

Free, forever: goals, streaks, sprints, reminders, Bird’s Eye, one tracked character, the badges for your writing, and the free checks in full; the rest show how much they found. The rest still show green, orange or red.
Ad-Free isn’t sold any more: the free plan has no ads now. A key bought before keeps working as it did.
Pro, $1.99/month or $19.99/year: every prose check, pacing and character insights, manuscripts, Focus Mode, the trend graph, unlimited synonyms, your own layout, no banner, and priority email support. It starts with a free trial, 7 days on monthly and 14 on yearly: a card is needed, and nothing is charged until it ends.

Every plan, side by side: Pricing.

Where your license key is

Lemon Squeezy, who handle the payment, email it to you with your receipt. It’s also on the confirmation screen after checkout. No email? Check your spam folder, or write to support@falcontext.com.

How to activate it

Open Falcontext beside your draft.
Click ☰ at the top right, then License key (in an older version, Settings). Or click Already have a key? under any Unlock with Pro.
Paste the key into License Key. It unlocks straight away: there’s no button to press.

Settings, License Key: an empty box to paste the key into, and under it the plan you’re on, here the free plan.

On all your devices

A license is for one person, on all your own devices. Paste the same key in each browser, on each computer and in the desktop app. Each one counts as an activation, and a key can be activated a limited number of times, to stop it being shared. Replaced a computer and reached the limit? Email support@falcontext.com and the old ones are freed up.

Cancelling Pro

Your receipt email has the link to manage or cancel your subscription. Cancel any time: Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for, then Falcontext goes back to Free (or Ad-Free, if you bought that too).

Nothing is deleted. You keep every day of tracked history; Pro-only views like the trend graph and Focus Mode simply lock again. On a trial, cancel before it ends and you pay nothing.

The full terms: Terms of Service, section 3.

Questions about Pro and your key.

I bought Pro but nothing changed.

Paste your license key into ☰ → Settings → License Key, in each browser and app you use. The key is in the email from Lemon Squeezy with your receipt.

Can I use one key on my laptop and my desktop?

Yes. One license covers all your own devices: paste the same key in each.

What happens if I stop paying for Pro?

Nothing is deleted. You keep every day of tracked history; Pro-only views like the trend graph and Focus Mode lock again, as on the Free plan.

Does the free trial need a card?

Yes, but nothing is charged until the trial ends: 7 days on monthly, 14 on yearly. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.
